Latent develops a photograph the way a darkroom does: it builds a negative, then prints it onto paper. A developer, in the old sense of the word.
I'm a photographer, and the person behind Latent. I build it alone, from Lebanon.
I made it because I missed what film asked of me: to slow down, to expose for the shadows, to wait, to look. Digital gave us speed and quietly took the developing away. I wanted it back, the chemistry, the patience, the craft, without giving up the tools I actually work in.
Not a look you apply. A process you run.
Under the hood it's real film science, spectral emulsion models, a negative, a print, a scan, not a stack of color LUTs. Portra behaves like Portra because the math knows what Portra is.
And it never guesses. The camera shoots raw, and only raw; nothing is invented, upscaled, or "enhanced" by a model. What you photographed is what develops. No AI.
